Our greatest gifts are the Elders who are here to protect us, teach us, and give guidance.
Elder care is very important to the Tla-o-qui-aht Nation, we currently employ an Elder Coordinator. The primary responsibility of this role is to care and offer support to our Elders who would like to engage in cultural activities, elder type functions, and assist with the overall supporting environment for our Elders.
Annually Tla-o-qui-aht Elders take part in the BC Elders Conference, Tribal Journey's, and local community based events like Family Fun Days, Community Dinners and Functions.
